Tel Aviv is the cultural capital of Israel, and you can find most of the art galleries and artistic spaces in the city. The galleries are located in several areas that tend to change in accordance with the price of the real-estate - Ben Yehuda street was once a prominent location for galleries, but in recent years many of the galleries have moved to the southern edges of the city. Today the Neighborhood of Kiryat Hamelacha serves as a home for many contemporary art galleries as well as artists’ studios and work-spaces, and is also a favorable spot for street artists.
